It’s officially 2015, and with the new year comes the time to make (and quite often break) our New Years Resolutions. Writing down that list of resolutions at the beginning of every new year is a long-running tradition the world over and a great opportunity to reflect on the previous year and look at what we want to achieve in the future, our goals and aspirations.

So in the spirit of the new year, I’ve decided to share with the world (that’s you!) some of my New Years Resolutions for 2015!

1. Actively and fully pursue acting. I have been pursuing acting for a while now, but this year is the year to go full-force. Which is actually a large part of my moving to Melbourne, a city with much more opportunity for an actress.

2. Expand my modelling portfolio and sign with a new agency. Moving to Melbourne for a fresh start and more opportunities is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time, however moving cities for a fresh start also means updating my portfolio in order to sign with a new agency. I’ve got my eye on a couple of agencies in the area, so here’s hoping!

3. Book a lead/recurring or guest role on a TV Show, several lead roles in short films, as well as significant roles in projects such as indie films, web series, student films and more. This links directly in to my first goals of actively and fully pursuing acting, however it provides a more detailed idea of what I want for my career in 2015.

4. Work on leading a happier and healthier life. This resolution is pretty universal, and seems to come in somewhere on almost everybody’s list of New Years Resolutions – and for good reason. Who doesn’t want to be happy and healthy?

5. Post more often – both to my blog, and to my youtube channel. I sometimes have trouble with this, and by sometimes I mean quite often. Oops! I promise to do better this year!

So there we have it, some of my top resolutions for 2015! And so far, I haven’t broken any (fingers crossed)! I’d love to hear from you – what are your New Years Resolutions for 2015? Are they still intact? Let me know in the comments below!

Oh, and Happy New Year! x

Below, I have written a more detailed list of the places I’ve visited.

When you’re a lover of adventure like myself, obviously you want to visit as many different places/countries/cities/destinations as you possibly can. Obviously for myself, that list is going to be incredibly extensive and an exhausting read for you (and equally tiring for me to write!), so I’ve narrowed it down to the places I’d love to visit and experiences I’d like to have within the next 5 years:

I’ll start with the places I will be visiting, this October:

Helsinki, Finland; London, Bath, Stratford-upon-Avon, England; Edinburgh, Loch Ness, Scotting Highlands, Glen Coe, Scotland; Paris, France; Venice, Florence, Pisa, Rome, Italy.

And the top places I’d like to visit by 2018:

  • Visit family and the places my mother grew up with my mum in South Africa – Port Elizabeth, Cape Town, Easter Cape, Johannesburg, and the Kruger National Park.
  • Backpack through the UK & Europe, visiting Ireland, Belgium, The Netherlands, Norway, Sweden & Germany (to name a few).
  • Explore the South Island of New Zealand – Queenstown and Christchurch in particular.
